The Competition and Tariff Commission is in the process of gathering stakeholder views on Zimbabwe’s list of Sensitive products under SADC Protocol on Trade and the development of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) market access offer.
The Commission came into being following the promulgation of the enabling Act, the Competition Act [Chapter 14:28] in 2001. This Act merged two different institutions being the Industry and Trade Competition Commission and the Tariff Commission in the then Ministry of Industry and Trade which is now the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which happens to be the parent Ministry of C.T.C.
